Blurb:
Ming Kong, a wuxia enthusiast, transmigrates. Not only does he have a System and an exceptional constitution, he also lands in Southern Shaolin, a temple renowned for martial arts. He’s practically got every protagonist buff there is.
Ming Kong has dreamed since childhood of becoming a martial arts master renowned throughout the world.
To that end, he becomes the undisputed hardest-working disciple at Southern Shaolin.
But one day, his dream shatters into pieces with a loud “smack.”
He knew his System was a mystery box that could only be opened when the right opportunity came along. But nobody told him that the opportunity would be Wuhua!
And nobody told him the mystery box could contain “stunning beauty,” either.
What’s a martial monk supposed to do with a “stunning beauty” System? Compete with Shi Guanyin?
He just wants to be a proper monk. He doesn’t want to be a demon monk who brings ruin to the country!
Tending the vegetable garden at Southern Shaolin, catching rats at Kaifeng Prefecture, sweeping floors at Songshan Shaolin, guarding Leifeng Pagoda by West Lake, leading his disciples on a pilgrimage to the West…
The handsome monk plants his staff on the ground. “Which scoundrel dares face me? Come on, then!”
Notes:
1. A Wuxia Crossover, legends, and mythology. The early part is wuxia, while the later part is mythology. Includes The Legend of Chu Liuxiang, Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils, The Seven Heroes and Five Gallants, Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio, Legend of the White Snake, and Journey to the West.
2. No CP, with a golden finger.
3. The protagonist is very timid at the start (and things may get frustrating). He doesn’t truly break out until around the end of Chapter 14, and only figures out his path in Chapter 15. I feel this is a necessary part of the journey, so please bear with me if it isn’t to your taste.
4. Other characters, possibly some unexpected ones, will pursue the little monk, but they’re only attracted by his looks. He won’t fall for them.
5. The villains don’t get redeemed, but they’ll be hard to kill for the sake of the plot.
6. The gods and Buddhas in this story are based on Journey to the West, not the deities of any real-world religion.
Next novel: The Male Prince-Consort Seems to Be Possessed by a Ghost [male protagonist, no CP, everyone loves him, mystery, jianghu, court politics]
Blurb:
On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, the notorious male prince-consort in the back courtyard of Prince Su’s residence wakes up and suddenly loses his memory.
The servants discover that the amnesiac prince-consort seems to have become a different person…
He used to be timid around everyone, but now he’s composed and self-assured.
He used to be poorly educated, but now he speaks with effortless eloquence.
Most importantly, when he smiles now, he seems to have an irresistible charm. He leaves the maids completely smitten, and even the prince, who has always hated him, falls for him.
So from that day on, the servants at the prince’s residence start spreading a rumor: the prince-consort is possessed by a ghost.
“I heard from the old woman who brings him his meals that he’s been like a different person since the fifteenth of the seventh month.”
“Wasn’t that old woman bullying him before? That day, he nearly scared her half to death.”
“He makes no sound when he walks, and his heels don’t touch the ground. They say that’s what happens when someone’s possessed by a ghost.”
The rumors are finally confirmed after the Mid-Autumn Banquet, when the prince-consort suddenly disappears.
“Wen Jin” has lost his memory. Everyone says he’s the first male prince-consort in history and a famous laughingstock in the capital, but it all feels unreal to him.
Sure enough, after one strange event after another, he arrives at an outrageous truth: he might really be a ghost who has returned in another person’s body.
Rubbing his fingertips, still unused to them, “Wen Jin” feels that something very important is missing from his grasp. He has to find it.
Looking across the dilapidated courtyard, he thinks, I absolutely should not be trapped here.
Several years later, the “Young Master Liufeng,” renowned in the jianghu for both painting and martial arts, joins the Court of Judicial Review after saving the emperor.
On the day he enters the court, at the palace gates:
Prince Su stares at the newcomer in shock. “Wen Jin, I finally found you! Why are you here?!”
The top scholar’s wife gazes at him in delight. “Huaiyu, so you’re Young Master Liufeng!”
With a folding fan in hand, Wen Jin smiles and bows. “I am Wen Jin, courtesy name Huaiyu, and I currently serve as President of the Court of Judicial Review.”
*Start date undecided. Feel free to add it to your collection.

Theme: A monk’s duty is to vanquish demons
Praise. To practice the way of gods and Buddhas is not to believe in the bodies of gods and Buddhas. Don't worship "idols"~
Congratulations on the completion! [Come on] [Spread flowers] It's really good! Everyone has a super happy ending. After reading it, I feel my heart is full and warm [Lop-eared Rabbit Head]
The Tao is just the Tao, and everything else is just the speculation of the world!
Alas, it ended so quickly... I couldn't get enough of it, but the ending was a blessing [Come on]
I finished reading it in one go. I saw it at about three o'clock in the morning yesterday [covering my face and laughing and crying]
It's the end of Spreading Flowers, and it's really fun to watch it all in one go!
After finishing "Spreading Flowers", can you let Mingkong go back to see his master in the extra story?
