I Picked Up a Mermaid to Be My Wife

[A mature, no-nonsense, incredibly powerful mermaid who seems frivolous x a kind human girl who's sweet on the outside and even sweeter inside]

It happened on a bright, sunny morning. Ding Qianqian was gathering seafood on the shore with her roommate when she suddenly passed out and tumbled into the sea with a splash.

When she woke up again, Ding Qianqian was shocked to find herself in the arms of a beautiful woman with an impressive pair of assets.

Ding Qianqian: "!!! This is a dream. It has to be a dream!"

When the woman saw Ding Qianqian wake up, she gave a hearty laugh. "Don't mention it. I saved you! My name is Wang Miaomiao."

Before Ding Qianqian could even thank her, an even more gorgeous woman snatched her away and held her protectively, letting out a piercing shriek. "Don't believe that woman! Actually, here's what really happened..."

Ding Qianqian listened attentively.

"My name is Zhaoli. I'm actually a mermaid, so I sensed you were in danger right away and rescued you. If I'd been one second later, you'd have mistaken that woman for your rescuer, met her, fallen in love with her, married her, and suffered the Little Mermaid's tragic fate."

Ding Qianqian: "Are you joking?"

The next second, the woman transformed into a mermaid...

Ding Qianqian was utterly shocked.

But before she could let out a piercing shriek, she saw the other woman, Wang Miaomiao, turn into a giant white seagull.

Ding Qianqian: I thought it was illegal to become spirits after the founding of the country! I'm turning you over to the authorities!
