You Can't Ship This Couple Like That! [The Knockout Fanfiction]

Gao Qiqiang was utterly baffled.

He was reborn after his execution, back in the days when he was still a fishmonger.

Was he happy to get another chance at life?

Yes, but not entirely.

Because rebirth came at a price. Gao Qiqiang was told that in his previous life, he had made An Xin, who had desperately wanted him to turn over a new leaf, spend his whole life alone. So in this life, he had to help An Xin get together with the person he loved. Only after completing this task would he truly be reborn. Otherwise, he would die immediately.

And so Gao Qiqiang embarked on the road to shipping An Xin with someone.

Gao Qiqiang had thought that, with all his years of studying The Art of War, shipping a couple would be a piece of cake. But before long, he realized something was wrong.

Why did every couple he shipped end up breaking up?

An Xin, you're really destined to be alone!

Zhang Biao's life was practically one long, dark joke.

He had worked hard since childhood and gone into the profession he loved most.

Then the partner he liked was taken away from him.

The codename he liked was taken from him, too.

There was no place for him in the master-and-disciple photo.

Later, his friends An Xin and Li Xiang each stood up for the justice they pursued, while he was left out.

After coming to terms with it, he decided to protect his junior properly. Then, for no apparent reason, his junior disappeared, too.

In the end, because of his family, he fell into darkness and went to prison.

Worst of all, the day before he was due to be released, he fell and hit his head, dying on the spot.

He thought his miserable life was finally over, only to find himself reborn, together with Gao Qiqiang.

Even worse, he was told that his former captain, Li Xiang, had spent his whole life alone because of him. So Zhang Biao had to find him a good match. If he failed, he would die immediately.

To stay alive, Zhang Biao and Gao Qiqiang joined forces by chance.

But...

Why did every couple these two shipped end up breaking up?

Did I get reborn the wrong way?
