Colonel, Shall We Make It Rain Gold Together? (Esports)

The gruff, protective apocalypse-era military officer top Ji Lingchen x the spirited young esports player bottom Meng Feng

Just as team captain Meng Feng was about to get shut out in a youth league match, another person suddenly appeared inside his body.

"A... a ghost!"

"I'm Colonel Ji Lingchen of the Pacific Base."

"Huh?!"

Under Ji Lingchen's guidance, Meng Feng performed beyond his usual level and won the match as MVP.

For a colonel who'd fought his way through the apocalypse, an esports shooter was child's play.

The colonel became Meng Feng's most "hands-on" coach.

Only Meng Feng could hear him, only Meng Feng could see him, and only Meng Feng could feel him.

Ji Lingchen said he existed because Meng Feng did.

Ji Lingchen was the only person who could never leave Meng Feng, and never would.

During the transfer window, his former teammates left, and from then on they could only meet as opponents. His former coach retired and would never return.

The people around him came and went, changing again and again.

Only Ji Lingchen stayed by the young man's side forever, waiting for the golden rain that belonged to him.

When Ji Lingchen was eighteen and fighting his way through the apocalypse, an eighteen-year-old boy appeared beside him, loud and full of life.

The boy had an innocence and passion Ji Lingchen had never known, and a vitality that didn't belong in the apocalypse.

Then, when he was thirty-six, Ji Lingchen died fighting for humanity in the apocalypse.

As he lay dying, he saw the boy reaching out to him.

"It's your turn to watch me grow up, Colonel."

"Welcome to my world."

He knew the boy no longer remembered anything about the other world, and had never realized that Ji Lingchen had been hopelessly in love with him since their very first meeting.

But Ji Lingchen had long been fully prepared to stay by the boy's side as he grew up.
