Noah is a little face-blind and not very good at turning people down. After joining the Empire's Special Forces, he has no idea how he caught the attention of the Empire's God of War, a prince of noble blood. All he knows is that Elais, the man everyone across the stars wants to marry, seems to have fallen in love with him at first sight.
Elais treats him well. He brings him gifts after going on missions for the Empire. He leaves his enormous palace empty and often deigns to visit Noah's shabby little apartment, watching the picky eater finish the last bite in his bowl before gradually filling the bare little room with new furniture.
Elais's kindness leaves Noah at a loss. Noah still has trouble remembering what Elais looks like, which makes Elais sigh every time. He takes Noah's hand and guides it over the contours of his face.
Just as Noah is hesitating over whether to accept Elais, the Empire's strongest God of War and national heartthrob suddenly turns evil and blows up the entire Empire.
Noah: ?
Fine. He puts aside his doubts and kills Elais outright, ridding the world of a menace.
He takes Elais's head back to his hometown, buys a plot of land, and buries it there. Perhaps the head is rich in nutrients, because the fruits and vegetables grow remarkably well. Every day, as he picks vegetables, Noah feels as if he's eating Elais.
Gradually, the dead Elais begins to materialize beside him.
While Noah is cooking, Elais wraps his arms around him from behind, holding him far too tightly with the feeling of a python coiling around its prey. He chuckles and asks, "Does it taste good?" When Noah ignores him, Elais lowers his head and bites the back of his neck hard as punishment.
When Noah visits another planet, he only has to glance at a male dancer for Elais to appear behind him. Elais gently places a finger on the dancer's face and mouths to Noah with a smile, "Look again, and I'll ruin that face."
For some reason, the personality and habits of a new friend he makes gradually begin to resemble Elais's.
Noah feels he will never escape people like Elais, so he decides to accept just anyone.
Unexpectedly, his new friend suddenly turns evil and becomes the God of the Abominations, smiling as he reveals the truth to Noah.
"Surprised, my dear Noah?"
"Actually, I've never been away."
Noah looks at the being whose appearance has changed once again, confusion written across his face.
Who are you?
Notice:
1. Bottom POV, both are each other's first and only partner. The top is dangerously unhinged, so read with caution.
2. A lot of people are the top. No disguises needed; the bottom simply doesn't recognize them.
3. Written to suit my own trashy tastes. Please don't complain if it's not to your liking.
