The day before a certain D-rank abandoned Honmaru was about to disappear, a powerful Master took it over. The new Master had black hair and rosy-red eyes, bandages wrapped around his exposed hands and feet, and wore a red Tang suit with white trousers. But what surprised everyone most was that he was in a wheelchair and looked terribly frail. The swordsmen of the D-rank abandoned Honmaru were very worried about him, afraid he would die the moment he was out of their sight. Yet when they went to battle, the frail young man in the wheelchair suddenly sprang into action, taking down one enemy after another with a single strike.

The swordsmen standing behind him, who had been planning to protect their new Master, were completely dumbfounded.

Shen Zhaoyue is the adopted younger brother of the top assassin in the underworld and a former Rainbow Child. He is currently in the middle of a full-blown bout of amnesia.

A year ago, he was found by Konnosuke, covered in wounds. After spending more than six months recovering under the Time Government's care, he took over a Honmaru that was on the verge of disappearing.

As he heals the swordsmen in that Honmaru, he is also trying to heal his own unsettled heart. He has no idea what kind of person he used to be.

Curious, Shen Zhaoyue sets out to find his memories. But during one mission, a strange man latches onto him. The man has brown hair and brown eyes, and flames flicker from his forehead. He claims to be Shen Zhaoyue's husband, but Shen Zhaoyue has no memory of this. He doesn't remember ever getting married. But when he sees the mark left on his ring finger, he falls silent.
