Kissing the Snake

1. To find an esteemed elder in the field of traditional Chinese veterinary medicine, Xia Liuxia turns to her father for help. She never expects that, in return for a favor, he'll arrange for her to get married.

But the person she's marrying is the young Mr. She, whom she's had a crush on for eight years.

She Qing, the young Mr. She, excels in every way: talent, family background, looks, and ability. But with a tongue so sharp, she's never been in a relationship.

Xia Liuxia: Rumors! She should know. How is she sharp-tongued?

After the wedding, Xia Liuxia gets all dolled up. Her new lace nightgown hugs her gorgeous figure, and she uses the excuse of asking She Qing what she thinks to flirt with her shamelessly.

She Qing: "It's okay."

Xia Liuxia: "The dress is just okay?"

She Qing: "You're just okay too."

?

Wait, what?!!...

2. Xia Liuxia loves flowers and is afraid of snakes. Unfortunately, She Qing keeps a whole bunch of them.

As a traditional Chinese veterinary medicine practitioner, she can't be a scaredy-cat forever when it comes to animals. One day, Xia Liuxia tries to get close to the pet snakes that are said to look scary but are actually adorable and dopey.

Xia Liuxia smiles confidently.

The next second, the snake's tail twitches, and her heart rate shoots up. She's so scared she nearly cries!

She Qing steps in to comfort her. Xia Liuxia trembles slightly and lets out a quiet whimper.

Before long, She Qing gets up and says she needs to use the bathroom.

Xia Liuxia, still trying to calm down: "...You get in the mood at a time like this?"

She Qing stumbles away, blushing, and walks straight into the cabinet.
