A Simp, but the Life-Ruining Kind

Song Nanshu was orphaned as a child. He craves affection and loves being around people, often joining a crowd. He doesn't mind being an invisible outsider.

He's also a hopeless romantic.

Whenever Song Nanshu falls in love, he wants to hand over his heart and cling to his partner twenty-four hours a day, dreaming of becoming their human attachment.

Maybe that's why every partner he's had has found him a little annoying.

The aloof doctor put it this way: "Song Nanshu, even when you're in a relationship, you need some personal space."

The younger wolf-dog boyfriend told him, "Nobody could put up with you."

The sharp-tongued CEO sighed, "You're practically a..." doormat.

Every partner also loves telling people about Song Nanshu's over-the-top behavior.

"When I'm at work, he can send me 99+ messages."

"He never talks back when I criticize him. He listens to everything I say, so we can't even have an argument. Sometimes I wonder, if I told him to go die, would he actually do it?"

"He even handed over his bank card and let me manage it."

Whenever he hears people describe him that way, Song Nanshu feels crushed. He accepts the label of "doormat," since his love really is more intense, after all.

But that's okay. Even a doormat's devotion has its limits.

Once he runs out of passion for his current partner, he'll find someone else to dote on.

Even if every partner he abruptly dumps has already been planning to marry him.

*Everyone gets their comeuppance; the love interest is still undecided.

*The protagonist is a cowardly doormat. He gives everything when he loves someone, but becomes cold when he doesn't. He's a bit of a heartthrob.

Theme: People invite disrespect when they don't respect themselves.
