[Football] I'm Here to Put Out the Fire

My new novel, [Football: Want a Little Lamb to Suck On?], is currently updating. If you're interested, please bookmark it! *ovo*

Synopsis:

As a goalkeeper, Lu Xing's greatest wish is to be a towering center-forward who can stand around and wait for easy goals.

But just like his strange knack for never catching a fish whenever he goes fishing, every shot he takes just clangs off the goal frame.

Since he can't shoot the goalkeepers to tears, he'll just have to make other towering center-forwards cry with his saves.

So Lu Xing puts on his goalkeeper kit and becomes the nightmare of countless strikers.

Opponents: Help! How did he save that one too?!

As a promising young talent developed by Juventus's youth academy, Lu Xing should have naturally taken the number one spot from Buffon and become Juventus's next legendary goalkeeper.

But when nothing is supposed to go wrong, something still does.

AC Milan urgently needs a goalkeeper. Faced with the temptation of an old flame, Lu Xing takes Buffon's hand and promises, "Gigi, I'll be right back."

Two years later, Bayern's goalkeeper is injured, and Lu Xing rushes over to fill in temporarily. "Gigi, they really need me. I'm going to help them out."

Another year passes, Chelsea's goalkeeper leaves, and Lu Xing steps in as an emergency keeper again. "At forty, you're in your prime, Gigi. Just hang in there for a few more years."

Forty-year-old youngster Buffon: Lu Xing's mouth is full of lies!

Reader's guide:

1. This is my first long-form novel, and the writing and plot are pretty rough at first. They get a little better once Chelsea comes along, but not by much. It's a light, sweet little story, so give it a bite if you're bored.

2. The male lead is of mixed heritage and a Chinese citizen. There is no content about the Chinese national team, and he won't join any national team.

3. Clubs: Juventus, AC Milan, Bayern, Chelsea, Real Madrid.

4. Matches are adapted from real life and won't follow reality exactly.

Theme: The harder you work, the luckier you get.
