How many steps does it take a silly puppy to win a championship?
Tobias: Two!
Step one: Be a striker who knows how to eat up the chances.
Step two: Have a chef who keeps serving you chances on a platter.
Tobias: I can't eat another bite, I really can't! Nano, stop feeding me!
Ovidio: ...Fine. I'll eat them myself.
As Atletico Madrid's twin stars, Tobias and Ovidio are described as the two pretty flowers in a band of rogues. But only their opponents know they're no delicate flowers at all: they're two domineering blooms who chase people down to bite them!
Beneath their identical, innocent-looking faces, older brother Tobias uses his body to bulldoze past defenders every day, while younger brother Ovidio delights in messing with their opponents. Together, the two wreak havoc in football and make life miserable for their rivals.
Their perfectly in-sync teamwork is unstoppable on the pitch, leaving countless coaches eager to sign them.
Just when everyone thinks the twin stars will stay together at Atletico Madrid forever, the two leave, one after the other.
Ovidio: "Oh, you want to know why we split up? Obviously, these clubs can't afford to pay enough to buy both of us at once."
Everyone waits to see the twin stars turn into shooting stars and crash to earth after going their separate ways. Instead, one lands in a stacked midfield and gets fed so many chances by his teammates that he nearly throws up, while the other is no longer held back at his new club and stirs up a storm until he becomes a true final boss.
A few tips for reading:
1. Dual protagonists with dual POVs: older brother Tobias, nickname Toby; younger brother Ovidio, nicknames Nano/Ovi.
Toby is a silly puppy, Nano is a bad-tempered kitten. They're both my beloved babies. Even though Toby gets mentioned more in the title and blurb, they have equal page time in the story.
2. The protagonists are Spanish. Some countries' honors may change as a result. I apologize in advance if that offends anyone.
3. They start out at Atletico Madrid. Their later transfers will remain under wraps for now.
4. No romance, only family and friendship.
Theme: The harder you work, the luckier you get.
