Okkotsu Comes to Save Me with His Fists Clenched

Xingli is a nasty high school girl.

She likes treating her boyfriends like dogs, teasing them for fun. She loves watching them swallow their pride and bow their heads just to keep her from breaking up with them.

Back in middle school, she tricked Yuta Okkotsu into putting a dog collar around his neck.

Then she called over a group of friends to watch him squirm.

Yuta was a little upset.

But she just said, "What? It's your own fault for being stupid, Yuta. And now you're getting mad at me? That's awful. Do you want to break up?"

Yuta Okkotsu panicked at once and kept apologizing.

In the end, he was nearly in tears. To keep them from breaking up, he locked the dog collar around his own neck again.

But after entering high school, Yuta Okkotsu went missing.

Xingli was furious.

She hated being dumped without warning.

So when they met again...

Even though she was trapped inside a collapsing school building by an ugly cursed spirit.

Even though Yuta Okkotsu, whom she hadn't seen for a year, had swooped down from above and rescued her.

She looked at her gloomy "dog."

Though she was scared, she still shouted at him in anger:

"Why are you coming to see me with your fist clenched like that? Do you want to break up? Are you trying to get violent?"

She thought he would hit her, or leave her there and walk away.

But instead...

Yuta Okkotsu unclenched his fist, then clenched it again. He lowered his head and spoke in a quiet, even voice:

"Then what should I have come to see you with?"
