Some say the pig is sick. Others say it's about to give birth.

One day, while running late, he rescues a young man who is trying to jump off a bridge into the river.

The young man is a nuisance, following him around and saying over and over that he wasn't trying to jump.

He even mocks Qiao Yushu for working so hard to stay alive when he's already so unlucky.

But when Qiao Yushu nearly gets hit by a flowerpot, the young man yells at it.

When misfortune strikes, he shields Qiao Yushu.

When Qiao Yushu is unhappy, he turns into a tabby cat to comfort him.

But even so,

when Qiao Yushu is condemned by everyone, the young man still hesitates between him and his friend.

On the verge of falling into an endless abyss, Qiao Yushu reaches out to the young man in a despicable act. Using all his strength, he begs, “Will you stay by my side forever?”

“You promised you wouldn't leave me.”
