My Heartbeat Will Never Stop

Wen Ye is a materialist who has never believed in ghosts or gods.

At funerals, he very rationally told his relatives that paper would only burn into ashes, not become currency in another world.

People called him cold and heartless, and he had fewer and fewer friends by his side.

Then one day, Wen Ye died unexpectedly. He saw a completely different world, and his grandparents, who had passed away long ago.

The ghost guide told him that without money, he couldn't rent a place in the underworld to wait for reincarnation.

Wen Ye had assumed his family and friends would burn some offerings for him, but it turned out no one did. They even said that since he hadn't liked this stuff when he was alive, they shouldn't make him unhappy after death.

Wen Ye, who had become a penniless ghost overnight: Have you no manners?

With no money and nowhere to go, Wen Ye could only wander the streets. At a crossroads, he came across a group of people making offerings. A bunch of lonely ghosts gathered around, waiting to get their share, when a gust of wind suddenly blew a huge pile into the arms of the protagonist shou.

The lonely ghosts stared at him with green eyes. They'd waited for nothing: the offerings already had an owner.

Wen Ye stared at his archenemy's red-rimmed eyes and was stunned for a long time.

He had actually burned paper money for him?
