Donald, the king of the Kingdom of Louis, was a man who was almost emotionally indifferent.

At least, that's what everyone who had dated or slept with him thought.

But Donald had never really given the question of love any serious thought.

He was a conscientious king, as well as an ordinary man who had long struggled with mental illness.

His bed partners came and went.

As he searched for love, security, and companionship,

ten years passed in the blink of an eye.

Why does every romantic relationship have an expiration date?

Do lasting, eternal partnerships even exist in this world?

The question left Donald deeply bewildered.

Potentially sensitive elements in this novel:

1. Diverse romantic relationships, serial one-on-one relationships, and fluid partnerships.

2. Told from the top's perspective. Bisexual protagonist. Please don't read if this bothers you.

Theme: Love is essentially hormones, but devotion and lasting affection are not.
