Is It Really Okay to Deliver Food in Beika Town?

Anti-piracy details: 60% of the chapters are protected, with a six-hour delay. As a college student who delivers takeout after class to earn some spending money, Zhishilu Ren seems to have found her lifelong nemesis: Beika Town. No matter where she is or what time of day it is, morning, noon, or night, she runs into cases of every size and kind. They happen so often that the people at the police station recognize her. Matsuda: Hey, back at the station to deliver takeout again? Hagiwara: Want a ride? We’re just getting off work. With her memories of nothing good ever happening when she sees them, Ren politely turns them down. Ren: No, thanks. I don’t want to end up back here having tea again. Ren expects to leave Beika as soon as she graduates and longs for a peaceful life. But under the influence of a detective and some active-duty police officers, she decides to quit her part-time job and become a public security officer. As it turns out, life in public security isn’t peaceful either. Even Watanabe, someone she knew from her part-time job, is a black-clad big brother dressed in black from head to toe. The handsome, cool waiter at Café Poirot also has another identity. Once everyone’s identities are revealed, Ren is shocked, but chooses to accept it all. What else can she do? She’ll just count it as part of her career experience in Beika. P.S. The heroine is mainly referred to in the third person. The whole story has a warm, everyday feel, with no unrequited crushes. The timeline differs from the original, and the Police Academy crew all survive. Theme: A few close friends are all anyone needs in life.
