At first, You Xue’er could barely remember Cen Xu’s name. She only knew he went to her school.
Later, she was scrolling through the news when it came back to her: he was this year’s provincial top scorer, the well-behaved student who always followed the rules and whom their teacher used to mention.
She brought it up with Cen Xu one night.
You Xue’er stared into his unfocused eyes and smiled as she called him a real bastard, a good actor.
Cen Xu didn’t deny it. He only kissed the cigarette smoke from her lips,
then knelt before her and caught the ash falling from her fingertips.
