I'm the Protagonist of an Otome Game? Huh...? Seriously?

[I commissioned another gorgeous illustration, then used my tacky taste to turn it into an ugly cover XD]

"I understand your pain, Young Master Joshua! Even though I'm a commoner and my concern may mean very little, please know that I will always be here, silently protecting you and wishing you well!"

"..."

The handsome young man before me folds his arms across his chest, presses his lips together, and stares at me with a slight frown.

He rubs his arms and, after a long pause, replies with some distaste, "I've never heard anything so cringey and over-the-top in my life."

My enthusiastic smile fades. The light slowly dies in my eyes, and in just a few seconds, I go from a young, naive girl to an elderly woman on her deathbed. I reply lifelessly, "It's just the player's quest, Young Master."

"From what I know of that player, today she'll be spreading her attention around and raising the affection levels of the Knight Commander, the High Priest, the Crown Prince, and the Second Prince, too."

"...That really does sound exhausting."

"You have no idea." My body is controlled into leaving the room. On my way out, I look back and grumble helplessly, "Just thinking about how this stupid game will keep affecting me until one of you falls in love with me makes me want to jump into the moat right now."

"You..."

"Sorry to bother you today, Young Master Joshua! See you at school tomorrow! And, um... what happened today is our little se-cret, okay~"

"..."

The main story is written in third person. I'm taking a break to build up a backlog, and won't start posting until I've written at least half the full story.

The cover also lists the romanceable characters. There are seven for now.

The heroine is a bit of a jerk, desu.

Theme: Love and peace
