Striving to Marry the Hokage

As a descendant of the Uzumaki clan and the Nine-Tails' jinchuriki, Uzumaki Kushina has always had one goal: to become Hokage.

"My name is Uzumaki Kushina. I'm male. My mother thought I was going to be a girl before I was born, so she named me that. I keep my hair long because someone once said it looked nice." The red-haired boy spoke. "My goal is to become Hokage!"

Kushina's grades and ninjutsu were top-notch, but there was always a blond boy in his class who took first place with ease.

How infuriating. Before becoming Hokage, Uzumaki Kushina decides to surpass Namikaze Minato and take first place.

They keep competing with each other, both determined to be number one. But little by little, Kushina comes to think Minato isn't such a bad person after all. That is, until Namikaze Minato's biggest secret is revealed, and Kushina feels there's no going back.

"What?! You're a girl?" Kushina cries in shock. "Why did you hide your gender?"

Namikaze Minato blinks innocently. "You never asked."

And so, in addition to becoming Hokage, Uzumaki Kushina gains another goal in life: to marry Namikaze Minato!

"Hey, you're definitely going to marry me, right?" Kushina says proudly. "Look at Naruto. He looks exactly like you, so he must be our child."

The two, who have unexpectedly arrived in another world, gain a "son." Naruto, unexpectedly reunited with his parents, looks utterly confused when he learns that their genders have been switched.

[Note: The pairing is Fourth Hokage x Kushina, with genderbending. If that's not your thing, please don't read.]

A Naruto-only fanfic.

Many original details, including the Uzumaki clan never being wiped out.

[PS: The title is just a placeholder. I'll change it before posting.]
