Inspector Sakaguchi Doesn't Want to Join the Rat Race

Sakaguchi Ango was perfectly calm. So what if he'd woken from a coma in a different body, in a different world, and been bound to a workaholic System that made him complete workaholic tasks before he could return to his original world and body? That was all! The good news: In this Detective Conan world, where there are no supernatural powers and murder cases are everywhere, he still has his ability! The bad news: He started out as an underage test subject on the Black side... Tch, it was just a matter of working himself to the bone on both the Black and Red sides. He knew this job! One day, Inspector Sakaguchi finished his work as usual and was getting ready to leave when three pairs of hands clung tightly to his coat. “Ango-chan!” “You!” “Sakaguchi!” “We haven't finished our work yet. How can you leave already?!” Inspector Sakaguchi looked around at his colleagues, who were enjoying the show, then turned to his three hapless fellow trainees and gave them a look of utter disdain. “But if you don't finish your work, I can't take on anything new. You're holding everything up. How is that my fault?” Kenji, Matsuda, Date, and everyone at the Metropolitan Police Department: “...Damn! So I'm the clown here?!” Ever since going undercover in the Black Organization, Bourbon had felt a familiar air about the place. It was especially strange how the Intelligence and Operations Division members looked at him whenever he completed a mission brilliantly. Vermouth: “Bourbon, you're really a lot like that kid~” Gin: “Heh. Vermouth, are you blind? Forget his abilities, his personality is nothing like that guy's!” Rum: “Bourbon, I believe in you. Make sure that guy learns there's always someone better!” Bourbon: “???” So who exactly is that guy? One day, Bourbon and Scotland were told to carry out a mission with the legendary man. Bourbon's eyes widened in shock. “Isn't that the face of my Public Security subordinate's first love, the one he never got over?!” Scotland was puzzled. “...Huh? Why do I feel like I've seen this woman with long black hair in a kimono somewhere before...?” Inspector Sakaguchi, Japanese Whisky, Ango, expressionless: “Heh. I'll die before I let them discover my identity!” But when an explosion erupted without warning, Ango instinctively shoved his hapless fellow undercover agent out of the way, leaving himself engulfed in the flames. Sakaguchi Ango couldn't help remarking that in every world, he always ended up getting himself killed while saving a friend. There he went, even starting to hear Dazai and Oda Sakunosuke's voices. Wait, what? No, that's not right... That familiar ache in his stomach. Ango suddenly came to his senses: “...!?” Theme: Even across worlds, people can still save one another
