Deep Space Directive

The full-dive game Deep Space Directive is built around interstellar warfare, with planets competing against one another and level-five civilizations crushing the competition. Countless people have tried the game since its release, but no one has beaten it.

Li Tu, a boosting player from the slums, enters for the enormous prize money. After assassinating a super-tycoon from a higher civilization as his client requested, he's about to retreat when he discovers... he can't disconnect from the neural interface?!

"A game? This is the real world," says the brutal legion pursuing him.

Li Tu tries to stay calm.

The good news: he's escaped the slums.

The bad news: he's now a wanted criminal.

--Which is worse, poverty or death?

Li Tu: Can't I just live in luxury?!
