Youth Academy Arc

Kevin Bates is of mixed Chinese, German, and Italian heritage. He's a contrarian who loves arguing, gets away with everything thanks to his good looks, and regularly offends people with his sharp tongue. When his mother wasn't allowed to sit at the table, he caused a scene at the ancestral hall and ran away from home. He supports himself by playing football. Extremely competitive, he hates losing and can stay angry for three days after a single defeat. He keeps switching between forward and midfield. A locker-room warrior and an up-and-coming master of the palace intrigues. A gentleman can wait ten years to get revenge. Kevin can't even wait until tomorrow. Famous quotes: "If we're close, I can waste five of your assists. If we're just okay, I can waste three. If I don't like you, wasting even one will make me mad. I put our personal grudges aside and passed you the ball, and you still couldn't score." "I've got nothing against you. I just hate you because I hate your friends. Could you stop showing up in front of me now?" "You're so pathetic. The moment you feel unloved, you start dating everyone in sight." P.S. 1. He won't join the China national team, and there will be no scenes involving it. He plays for Germany's national team. 2. He'll win lots of awards, with a grand slam in the cards. The protagonist grows over time, starting in the youth academy, so the pacing won't be too fast. 3. His golden finger is probably his mathematical ability and spatial awareness. At first, he'll be a forward who scores like crazy. Later, he'll evolve into a midfield maestro, but he'll move up front again when needed. Basically, he'll go wherever he's needed. 4. There will be a romance, with Brandt as his partner. 5. He's not a perfect protagonist. He'll make mistakes, get injured, love showing off, and do stupid things. Theme: If there's no target man, then I'll be the target man
