At this time, the Lotus Prince knelt down, clasped his hands to his father and said, "Father! My gracious father! Please listen to me quietly. I appear in this world incarnate because I want to achieve Buddhahood, to become a Buddha in this life, and to save all sentient beings. So if I sleep upright there every day, like a dead corpse, it is contrary to my original wish. For me, there is absolutely no happiness at all. I hope to abandon all laziness and carelessness, pursue the Buddha's teachings wholeheartedly, practice my bodhicitta for all living beings, and achieve Buddhahood. My dear father! Please don't be sad for me, don't be sad for me, after all, practicing and becoming a Buddha is the greatest happiness in my life."
After hearing the most affectionate words of Prince Padmasambhava, King Indra shed tears very sadly, and said to his beloved son: "My child! You initiated such a special wish in order to make all living beings obtain ultimate peace and happiness. I am really filled with joy and sorrow in my heart. My lovely child. Ah! In fact, like you, I want to save all sentient beings. We are all born in the world to help sentient beings. Now I have become a king in this cause and condition, but I have no one who can inherit my career, so I open all my treasures to come.
Purpose: Padmasambhava has great wisdom, resolutely gave up his throne, became a monk, studied Buddhism, spread the Dharma and benefited living beings. His merits are immeasurable, admirable and admirable.
