The Tenth Year After the Greatest Under Heaven Died

–

A tavern at the foot of Changning Mountain had a new waiter. He was young and quick-witted, but for some reason, he always wore a mask.

When people asked about it, he would grin and say:

"I'm so handsome that I'm afraid any girl who sees me will lose her heart for no reason."

Everyone laughed and jeered at him. No one knew that the seemingly ordinary waiter, who joked around and made small talk at the tavern, had once worn red and wielded a silver sword, slaying demons and evil spirits with carefree flair.

He had been the greatest cultivator under heaven, famous throughout the cultivation world.

–

In his previous life, Feng Che saved a young man from a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood.

The boy was lowborn and quiet, and did nothing but follow behind Feng Che, gazing up at him from afar.

He watched Feng Che lie drunkenly among the flowers, brimming with pride and confidence. He watched him strike with his sword in a dazzling flash, basking in glory.

In the end, he watched Feng Che leap from the barrier of the Ghost Realm and die before his eyes.

Unruly, high-spirited shou × devoted, unrepentant demon cultivator gong

Past and present, fate cuts like a blade

1. Feng Che is the shou. He dies and comes back to life. The "waiter" in the first section of the blurb is Feng Che after his resurrection, ten years after his death in his previous life.

2. The story follows two timelines, past and present, with many flashbacks.

3. A touch of ensemble cast, meaning there are quite a few supporting-character storylines.

4. The plot has plenty of twists and turns, the romance is mutual, and it's a 1v1 happy ending.

Blurb:

When Jiang Gu was twenty-six, he brought home sixteen-year-old Huo Mian'an from the home of a friend who had passed away.

Three years later, nineteen-year-old Huo Mian'an pinned twenty-nine-year-old Jiang Gu against the foot of the bed, a vivid handprint on his face.

"...I'm your brother."

"My brother died three years ago."

In the dim room, their breathing was low and ragged. Huo Mian'an sank his canine teeth into the side of Jiang Gu's neck, then gently licked it with the tip of his tongue. "You took in a mad dog with nowhere to go, so even if I break my teeth, I'll hold on to your trouser leg forever.

"I'll never let go."
