The Spoiled Fake Young Master Is Doted on by a Rough Man

As the real young master's foil, Shen Mingxi flaunted his wealth and threw his weight around, while the real young master was resilient and universally adored.

In the original story, after the real young master was reunited with his parents, the entire family came to love him, including Shen Mingxi's fiance. Jealous, Shen Mingxi refused to return to his biological parents and set out on a path of selfish mischief. In the end, everyone despised him, and he died of depression.

That was the absurd life of Shen Mingxi, who had grown up with a silver spoon in his mouth.

When he woke, the events from his dream began coming true one by one. Shen Mingxi knew he couldn't control the plot, so all he could do was try to change the ending for his minor character.

Before the real young master came home, Shen Mingxi broke his habit of spending money recklessly. He stopped buying luxury goods, stopped going to parties, and stopped chasing his fiance. Every bit of money he had went into savings.

On the day the real young master was brought home, everyone expected the spoiled fake young master to throw a huge fit. But to their surprise, Shen Mingxi didn't resist at all. He left the Shen family, pushing the suitcase he'd prepared long ago.

His biological parents were in dire financial straits. His father carried bricks at a construction site, and his mother sold boxed meals outside it.

Going from a mansion to a tiny apartment of less than thirty square meters left Shen Mingxi devastated. Learning that his fiance also did manual labor at a construction site devastated him even more.

Chen Mu was strong and muscular. Every summer vacation, he went to work at construction sites, carrying bricks to help support his family.

Chen Mu had a fiance: fair-skinned and refined, but with no interest in him. Recently, his fiance had been taken back by the wealthy Shen family, and a new fiance had taken his place.

The new fiance had a face as beautiful as a celestial maiden, with red lips and pearly teeth, and was delicate and frail. Like the previous fiance, he had one thing in common: neither of them liked Chen Mu. The first time the new fiance met him, he welcomed him with a slap.

Chen Mu had tough skin, so the slap didn't hurt.

But it smelled so good.

After moving in with his biological parents, Shen Mingxi discovered that Chen Mu went to the same school and was his senior. To win him over, Chen Mu saved him a seat at school, brought him lunch, and carried his bag after class. He was so attentive, he was like the little stray dog outside the construction site that lit up whenever it saw Shen Mingxi.

As they spent time together, Shen Mingxi discovered that this little "stray dog" had a business sense every bit as good as that of the overpowered male lead.

They were all human, so why was he born to be the real young master's foil, a stepping stone for everyone to praise the real young master, despite having done nothing wrong? The fire of villainy burned in his heart. Shen Mingxi steeled himself and handed Chen Mu the bank card holding all his savings.

Shen Mingxi covered his eyes, hiding his reluctance. "The PIN is three 8s and three 6s. Take it, quick, before I change my mind."

The day the real young master and Shen Mingxi switched back, he knew that this rose, nurtured with money, would probably wilt within days of returning to the place where he had grown up.

Then the Shen family's investment failed, bringing them to the brink of bankruptcy. The real young master and the Shen parents went from door to door, desperately begging for investment.

At a banquet, they went to plead with the newly risen tycoon of Haishi.

Only then did the real young master realize that the new tycoon surrounded by admirers was none other than his former fiance, the man he'd looked down on for carrying bricks at construction sites. And Shen Mingxi, whom he'd assumed would fade into obscurity, was nestled in Chen Mu's arms, just as spoiled as ever.

The rose hadn't wilted. It had become even more beautiful.

After the banquet, on the way home.

Chen Mu thought about Shen Mingxi's former fiance, the overpowered male lead. He was shorter than Chen Mu, fairer than him, and pretty handsome. Most importantly, Shen Mingxi used to really like him.

Chen Mu looked away. "Your ex-fiance kept looking at you at the banquet."

Chen Mu looked away again. "Your ex-fiance is pretty handsome, too."

Chen Mu looked away once more. "Did you see him?"

Shen Mingxi said, "What are you mumbling about? Have your pecs gotten bigger again? Let me feel."

Chen Mu (puffing out his chest proudly): "Yeah."
