You Were Supposed to Be a Spy, So How Did You Become the Rival Boss?

Jiang Feng was carrying out a top-secret undercover mission: infiltrating the largest and most brutal criminal syndicate in the Federation to gather evidence.

Because the mission was so dangerous, Jiang Feng buried her past, faked her death, and cut ties with everyone.

Only her two superiors knew her true identity and received her reports through a one-way channel.

However, two months after Jiang Feng successfully infiltrated the syndicate and gained its initial trust, both of her superiors suddenly died in the same explosion.

Jiang Feng: ???

Wait a minute. Does anyone else know I'm undercover?!

The answer: No.

#All I wanted was to be an undercover agent, with no one knowing who I really was#

#But now I have to prove that I really am an undercover agent!#

To save herself, Jiang Feng had no choice but to try the following:

Find a senior intelligence official who could restore her identity and take over the entire undercover mission.

Fake her death again and temporarily leave the criminal syndicate.

Kill the syndicate's big boss, take over, and rebuild the entire criminal network.

The first two attempts failed.

But the last one worked.

No one knew how a tiny enforcer at the very bottom of the syndicate had made a crooked businessman, who disdained loyalty, become so obsessed with serving her, or how she'd made a ruthless mercenary group recognize her and her alone as their leader.

The military was forced to open its gates, the politicians raised their glasses, and the old chains of power crumbled link by link. A new order was rebuilt in Jiang Feng's hands.

At the round table of the tripartite talks, Jiang Feng smiled at the heavily armed inspectors. "Come on, officers. We're legal!"

Years later, a long-sealed, top-secret undercover file was accidentally unlocked.

The newly appointed head of the Intelligence Bureau stared at the name and photo in the file, lost in thought.

Wait, can someone tell him why this undercover agent looks exactly like the person currently running the Federation's largest conglomerate?

You were supposed to go undercover. How did you end up running the rival syndicate?!
