Riding the Momentum

Two years ago, Xia Jin had a brief encounter with Xie Yanqing of Haicheng.

It was at a nursing home, where they were visiting an elderly resident.

At the time, he was the wealthy president of Fengcheng Group.

And she was the girlfriend of the young master of Haicheng's Ji family, on the verge of marrying into a wealthy family.

Two years later, the young master of the Ji family dumped her, and she became the laughingstock of their social circle.

Mockery rang out from every direction.

She left the Ji family's Jiaoshan villa in the middle of the night.

On a rainy night, she slipped on the mountain road and happened to run into Xie Yanqing. Out of kindness, he held an umbrella over her.

Xia Jin looked up at his handsome, sharply defined face beneath the umbrella, and the thought of clinging to him as her lifeline took hold.

Xie Yanqing never imagined that holding an umbrella for someone would get him saddled with her.

If she hadn't made such a good impression at the nursing home two years earlier, even earning the approval of his mentor,

he wouldn't have opened that umbrella.
