She probably never expected that the blind date she planned to get through without much effort would be someone she’d once had a secret crush on.

It was as if a time machine had brought him right in front of her, leaving her at a loss.

“I’m Shen Tian.”

“Zhou Shenzhi.” His voice was low and cool as he held out his hand.

Shen Tian smiled and swallowed the words, “Do you remember me? We were classmates in our senior year of high school.”

A secret crush is a battlefield for one person.

From the moment you step onto it until you retire, you charge through someone’s world alone, only to become the dust that quietly falls from their walls.

1. It starts at school, then moves to the city. Once the senior-year high school plot is done, time fast-forwards and the story moves into the urban arc.

2. Secret crush + marriage first, love later.

3. Both leads are each other’s first.

4. A slow burn with everyday life.

5. A relaxing winter sweet romance.

6. I’ll keep revising the wording, so don’t worry if you notice changes.

I’ll give you the most passionate love in return.

+++++- Zhou Shenzhi

There are also stories featuring his brothers:

Chen Yan’s Green Leaves is in my author’s collection.

Jiang Jingye’s The Wind Is Rising is in my author’s collection.

The next story in the Kneeling-and-Begging series is Red Rose, starring Fu Linyuan and Chen Jing.

Synopsis: Fu Linyuan looks after his subordinates, especially his secretary.

And she is that secretary.

As his secretary, she knows better than anyone that all those women come and go from his life, and he’ll marry none of them. Of course, the woman who went abroad five years ago is the exception.

She never expected an accident in their boss-subordinate relationship to lead to a vague, ambiguous entanglement with him.

Much later, that woman was getting ready to return to the country, and she’d had enough of city life. She told him, “I’m going back to get married.”

“You should get married and have children.”

He picked up his pen and approved her resignation letter.

Sometimes adult feelings turn into love in a single thought. Sometimes they have to cross mountains and rivers.

She and he are the mountains and rivers in between.
