I Went to Gotham to Be an Accountant

A silly idea I joked about with my friend: some Gotham accountant jokes

I'm an accountant, but I'm not actually from Gotham. My genius boss followed the crowd and set up the finance department in Gotham, claiming it was for my good and the company's.

Huh?

I'm not kidding. Ninety-nine percent of companies in the US have their finance departments in Gotham.

At the end of the year, I discovered the books wouldn't balance. I was so frazzled I wanted to crawl out into the street and randomly murder someone. Then I woke up to find our finance department had been blown up.

The books had turned to ash overnight.

When the Gotham police sent someone to comfort me, all I could do was desperately suppress my upturned mouth, squeeze out a couple of tears, and say it was fine.

And as far as I know, Wayne Enterprises will compensate us for all our losses!

At that moment, I understood. Boss, you really were doing this for my sake.

Bruce Wayne, Gotham's greatest benefactor!

Praise Gotham!!
