Blurb: [Some shameless, tropey fun]
After Xie Ling dies unexpectedly, a System binds him to a book and tasks him with redeeming Shen Luolan, the darkened, universally adored protagonist bottom.
In the original story, Shen Luolan is injured by accident, poisoned with a love drug, and unable to advance his cultivation. Every month, he needs to sleep with someone to relieve the effects.
The master he once revered, his gentle senior brother, and his sworn enemy all change their attitudes and try to assault him.
Surrounded by wolves, Shen Luolan refuses to give in, and takes all three of them with him when his soul is destroyed.
But something goes wrong during the transmigration.
Xie Ling, who was supposed to become the Demon Lord, ends up transmigrating directly into the protagonist bottom's body.
Xie Ling, who stayed up all night writing a complete plan: ???
Luckily, before he turns dark, Shen Luolan is a little white flower spirit. He's easy to fool and incredibly considerate and kind.
When Xie Ling uses his body to beat up the scumbag tops, Shen Luolan even sweetly calls him "big brother" in his ear and cheers him on.
His redemption score doesn't go up, but Xie Ling is so pleased by the encouragement that in less than half a year, he wipes out all the scumbags.
After removing every threat, Shen Luolan thoughtfully helps him get his body back.
Xie Ling doesn't even have time to feel grateful before he's pinned to the bed in the Demon Palace.
Shen Luolan strokes Xie Ling's abdomen and tells him that next year, the Demon Palace will be covered in the flowers they planted together.
Blurb two:
As the only dodder-flower spirit between heaven and earth, Shen Luolan reaches the Mahayana stage of cultivation, but his unfinished pollination period keeps him from making a breakthrough.
To make it through the pollination period safely, he finds three substitutes to die in his place. Once the time is right, they'll become fertilizer and help him survive his heavenly tribulation.
But just as his plan is about to come together, something unexpected happens.
He gets possessed.
The good news: The other person also believes his disguise and thinks he's a harmless little white flower.
The bad news: This person has taken care of every substitute he's so carefully prepared, without leaving a single one alive. If Shen Luolan doesn't resolve his pollination problem, he'll really die.
Shen Luolan fixes his icy gaze on the Xie Ling inside him.
He helps Xie Ling get his body back, then gives him all the pollen he's been saving for over ten thousand years.
Bonus scene:
After pollinating Shen Luolan, Xie Ling thinks he's going to run away. He turns around and sees...
Xie Ling offers him a handful of spirit stones to buy his services in the future.
Shen Luolan: ???
Reader's guide:
1. A little shameless, tropey fun. Whenever the top tries to get all dark and twisted, the bottom pulls him back into being human (not really).
2. The bottom is truly open-minded, cheerful, and mature, living in the moment. He should be the most carefree and dependable bottom I've ever written.
3. A ridiculously powerful golden finger, basically a walking cheat code. This is a sweet, satisfying story. (P.S. Whenever something angsty comes up, both leads step in to turn things around. No form of groveling-to-win-back-the-lover arc.)
Theme: Love is warm.
