[Inspired by watching anime and playing games. A slice-of-life, fairy-tale style, updated whenever inspiration strikes. The main plot is a Japanese-style adventure RPG, with the hero's party assembling. The two points of view are split evenly. I'm torn about the mother-hen demon king. I'll decide on the pairing after the two of them get together.]
Milar is a background NPC elf king by the resurrection-point elven tree in a certain 18+ adventure RPG. He has only one line of triggered dialogue.
One day, the world's consciousness came to him in tears, begging him to help the hero finish the game.
"It's been three years, and the hero is still fighting geese in the starting village. At this rate, when will he defeat the demon king and save the world...?"
Milar read between the lines. After being a shut-in for thousands of years, with nothing but forbidden spells in his skill list, he was raring to go. "Sure! I'll go kill the demon king right now."
"...Ahem, it's like this. Only the hero can defeat the demon king."
Milar: ?
"You just need to be his bound portable healing fountain. Stand by his side and keep his health up."
Milar: ??
"Here's the walkthrough. Go to the starting village and team up with the hero! ...He's probably the best-looking one."
Milar, forced into the role of healer, finds the "hero" on the brink of death in the starting village, just as he wished, and happily takes him on a trip around the world... Ahem, to unlock the map and clear the story.
The hero is very obedient. The only problem is that the healing skill only works if they cuddle, so to keep the hero from dying, Milar has to fight hand in hand with him every day.
Cecil, the demon king, has just snuck into the human world when he runs into a blind elf who insists they team up. The immense power of light radiating from the elf nearly sends him to his death.
To stay alive, Cecil clings to the elf's wrist and humiliatingly enters into a master-servant contract.
Tomorrow, I'll kill him!

To regain his strength, Cecil has no choice but to follow a blind elf with far too much sympathy on aimless wanderings, and even pick up a few little ones along the way.
The great Demon King has actually been forced to support a family.
The little dragon, little saint, little angel, and little demon in the house gaze at him pleadingly every day: Big bro, we're hungry.
The demon king, wearing a floral apron, clutching a spatula, and holding a baby bottle, stomps around angrily. "All right, all right! It'll be ready in a minute!"
The unnamed father figure, growing ever more skilled at caring for kids: I'm only here undercover! That's all!
*
The Demon King collapses onto the sofa. A strange glint flashes in his pitch-black eyes. How should I destroy the world and torment humanity this time?
Beside him, the elf sits in a row with a bunch of little ones, flipping through a book with a gentle, holy smile. "Hmm, let's look at this guide to the map: how to use monsters to... slimes [beep]... all the ways to use vines to... succubi's seduction..."
So incredibly filthy, absolutely unhinged.
Cecil snaps back to his senses and sits bolt upright. "Don't tell the little ones about that stuff!"
He angrily confiscates the elf's xx guide. "Wait a minute. I need to have a talk with you."
The elf tilts his head in confusion and listens attentively.
His profile in the morning light is flawless, like fresh snow atop a mountain. "Hmm? What do you want to say?"
The demon king covers his uncooperative heart and tries to maintain some dignity, murmuring, "...You're right about everything."
