Those Years I Practiced Medicine at the Shanhai Hospital

After Ling Yue got her medical license, she started working at a large hospital. On her first day, she followed the department head as an assistant when a middle-aged man hurried in. "Doctor, Doctor! My little Taotie hasn't eaten for two whole hours. Does he have anorexia?"

A question mark slowly appeared over Ling Yue's head. "Your... what kind of baby?"

And so, on her first day seeing patients:

"Doctor, I'm a fox spirit, but lately I'm only interested in true love."

The department head: "Endocrine disorder. I'll prescribe two doses of herbal medicine. As for your lifestyle, go out and look at handsome men more often, and spend less time at home watching TV."

"Doctor, I'm a Migu tree, but lately I keep getting lost."

The department head: "How old are you? Oh, at this age we should consider senile dementia. I suggest snapping off a piece of a younger relative and carrying it with you when you go out. And remember to book an appointment with the plant department next time."

Ling Yue felt like she needed a moment to herself.

One day, an ancient black dragon walked into her office. By then, Ling Yue could handle things on her own and asked without changing expression, "Name, age, species, symptoms?"

The black dragon tilted his head and thought for a moment. "I do."

Ling Yue: "...Take the first left for psychiatry."

The black dragon had just awakened from ten thousand years of sleep. He flipped through his etiquette manual. "I thought only you humans asked that when they went on blind dates. But I really do, Doctor Ling."

Ling Yue took a deep breath and silently wrote in the diagnosis box: "Disordered heat cycle. Recommend neutering."
