A Winter Night

Blunt, earnest liar x dependable but proud cool guy

Dong Ni is awkward and socially anxious. Whenever she goes out, she can't help revealing far too much about her private life. Her friends tell her it's dangerous and that she needs to learn to keep things to herself around strangers.

Then, one day, while she is carefully making up a wild story about being divorced from her scumbag ex-husband and raising two children, she runs into her crush.

He Mingzhou meets a woman who makes his heart skip a beat while traveling. She has just emerged from a failed marriage and didn't even win custody of her two children. Lonely and battered, she isn't someone he wants to play savior to. Yet, though he has always hated trouble, he can't help keeping an eye on her.

His friends all say he's gone crazy, and even he thinks they might be right.

Every time he resolves to stay away from her, she comes looking for him.

He thinks, This woman really knows how to get to me.

Dong Ni has made up so many outrageous versions of herself that she forgets them as soon as she turns around. She only thinks that He Mingzhou is hot and cold and hard to get close to, but she can't figure out why.

Yet every time she tries to draw a clear line between them, he comes looking for her.

She thinks, This man really knows how to get to me.
