After transmigrating into a medieval fantasy world, Anna became Brianna Wilson. For convenience, everyone still called her Anna.
But this tiny bit of luck couldn't make up for the fact that she was a "lowly" maid.
Anna was entirely the manor owner's property. He could beat and scold her as he pleased, and one wrong move could cost her life for any number of bizarre reasons.
After her first brush with danger, she discovered she could reset time once a day, refreshing right on the dot at midnight.
For a long time, she knew the world beyond was colorful, full of swords and magic, dragons and elves, yet she was trapped in this wretched manor where she was tormented. The things that triggered a reset were all trivial, but still quite capable of getting her killed.
At last, she found an opportunity amid the war, killed the manor's owner, and escaped in the chaos.
But then Mia Liete, the manor owner's daughter, came looking for her.
The first thing she said was, "You are the chosen one. The world is reborn in your hands. The pocket watch hidden by fate turns backward for you. The boundary between spring and winter blurs at your will. Destruction and creation are your glorious mothers."
Anna glanced back at the bundle on her shoulders, stuffed with gold she'd pried off the staircase railing, and smiled awkwardly. "I wouldn't go that far."
Then Anna discovered that Mia Liete was the only intelligent being besides herself who could sense and remember the time resets.
"Please, take me with you," said the girl, who had been locked in a cellar and had hardly lived any better than Anna.
There was no helping it. Anna took her along.
The two stumbled into one adventure after another. Elves, dwarves, dragons, witches, shapeshifters, slimes, werewolves... They either joined their party, became their friends, or, failing that, Anna beat them into submission.
Once they had become unstoppable, someone foolishly started hunting them down.
It turned out that after Mia Liete's country was destroyed, she had become its only surviving legitimate heir. Many old nobles backed her for their own power, while the new emperor wanted to eliminate a potential threat.
Anna looked at Mia Liete, and Mia Liete looked back at her.
"I am the chosen one. The world is reborn in my hands. Fate's whatever-it-is turns backward for me. How did the spring and winter part go? Was there another line after that? Never mind. Anyway, you go be empress."
"Huh?"
1. No romance. Mia Liete is simply the female lead's best friend.
2. The main story is about adventure.
Theme: As long as life goes on, keep striving.
