[Honkai: Star Rail] The Genius Society, but With Maxed-Out Debuffs

[Romance buff in the same series. Feel free to bookmark] [Completed story in my collection: Reincarnated as a Sea Otter, Then I Bothered the Great Scribe] Everyone knows I’m a genius. And it’s common knowledge that geniuses are often envied by fate. Screwllum told me he’d long studied human emotions, but regretted that the negative symptoms accumulated inside me made it impossible to predict the course of my destiny. I said, “Darling, I wish I could turn all this energy into motor oil.” Herta suggested I go pray to the Yaoshi of Abundance. I ran off in a flash. “Is that your excuse for sleeping on an abomination’s shoulder?” After knocking me to the ground with his sword, the man asked with amusement. He said he was the Divine General of Xianzhou. I looked at the immortal’s happy water in his hand and the chattering bird on his shoulder. Me: “I’m a member of the Genius Society, you know.” Just as I was finally making a name for myself in Xianzhou, my sleepiness getting worse by the day, some guy with a permanently sour face came and dragged me back. “Who are you?” I asked, confused. He seemed about to say something earth-shattering, so I turned in confusion to my friends, who were drinking and chatting... Wait, strangers. Me: “Who are you people?” It wasn’t until I developed a brain recorder to deal with sudden memory loss that Dr. Ratio reluctantly let me leave the space station. He asked me to go with him to Penacony. I met a friend who was as flamboyant as a little peacock, and chatted happily with the Nameless on a group tour. I watched a girl in a fox mask tease a brother who had lost his sister. I watched them everywhere. I spoke with them, little by little. Dissociative identity disorder. I recorded it as my newest symptom, gathered material, and wrote it into a book. Aventurine volunteered to sell it for me. Apparently, it became a huge hit in Xianzhou, and even the Stellaron Hunters fought over copies. After all, he’d given me plenty of bargaining chips. And I finally found the recipe for blueberry-scented motor oil. - Geniuses on the left, madmen on the right. I’m in the middle. * The main story is told in third person. I’m not an overly meticulous canon scholar, but I’ll do my best to stay true to the original. OOC warning, with plenty of headcanons. Absurd memes and jokes. Turn off your brain. Pairing undecided.
