But recently, Ye Xiyao made a friend. His new friend is Xing Shu, his boss. He may look fierce, but he’s actually very gentle and considerate (or so Ye Xiyao thinks). He’s tall and handsome, and he cooks really well (Ye Xiyao is the only one who’s tried his cooking). Ye Xiyao treasures his friendship with Xing Shu. He decides to tell Xing Shu his secret. That day, Xing Shu suddenly comes to find him, saying he has something to tell him. Ye Xiyao beats him to it. “I have something to tell you too.” As Xing Shu stares at him in shock, Ye Xiyao grows a tiny tail. It curls gently around Xing Shu’s arm, just as bashful and nervous as Ye Xiyao himself. He says, “Actually...” Xing Shu thinks, I know you’re actually a demon, and a powerful, vicious one who poses a great threat to human society. Ye Xiyao: “I’m a succubus.” Xing Shu: “I already knew that, but...” Xing Shu: “Huh?” #Wait, that’s actually a good thing? #Hold on, does a succubus even count as a demon??? At the start of the operation, Xing Shu writes daily observation logs to analyze the weaknesses of the SSS-level demon and sends them back to the Bureau. [Observation Log: Demon Ye Xiyao] 1. [Physical traits]: The demon’s body temperature is too high, his skin is too pale, his eye color is unusual, and his lips are incredibly soft. (Last part crossed out.) 2. [Habits]: The demon is afraid of the cold, sleeps a lot, and dreams often. He isn’t picky and has a healthy appetite. He’s very well-behaved when eating, doesn’t kick off his blankets in his sleep, and needs to be held for warmth when it’s cold. 3. [Threat level]: The demon is doing a good job of hiding. No signs of hostile intent so far. Note: His bites hurt quite a bit. 4. [Warning]: The demon will use any means necessary to seduce humans! Note: Hah. A laughably clumsy trick, not worth mentioning. 5. ... At some point, Xing Shu stopped uploading his observation logs. One day, the Bureau chief contacts Xing Shu. “You’ve been observing him for a long time. When are you planning to make your move?” As snow lashes down, Xing Shu carefully wraps a warm scarf around Ye Xiyao and pulls him into his embrace. Then he answers the chief, “Operation canceled.” The chief: “?” Xing Shu: “I’ve defected.” #LMAO, what happened to the strongest exorcist? #He’s the strongest lovesick fool! - [Reader’s guide] 1. A sweet 1v1 romance, mostly slice of life. 2. This is my take on succubi, with lots of original worldbuilding. I’m writing for fun and making everything up as I go, so if my setting differs from what you imagined, that’s perfectly normal! Please don’t get hung up on it. Mwah~ 3. Just to avoid any misunderstandings: there will be no pregnancy or childbirth. Whether succubi can get pregnant or not, it won’t happen in this story.
