Why Doesn't She Like Me Anymore?

[Childhood Friends | Sweet Campus Romance | Quirky Girl x Cool and Cunning Boy]

-

Everyone in the neighborhood knew that Shen Nianwen had liked the boy next door, Ji Xu, ever since she was little.

When the young girl first fell in love, she became even less discreet about her open crush.

For several years in a row, Shen Nianwen's wish was: "I hope Ji Xu falls for me this year!!"

Ji Xu: "I don't like people with grades this bad. What have you been doing with all the material I've helped you study?"

Shen Nianwen: ...My life as a total face-lover has been spent staring at your face. :)

Later, Shen Nianwen tried hard to study, but failed again and again. After getting beaten down by her studies N times, she suddenly felt that all this romance stuff was way too much trouble.

No heartbreak hurts as much as being bad at studying forever.

So on her birthday the following year, she made a wish: "This faithful girl begs that Ji Xu never fall for me, in exchange for better grades."

That year,

Shen Nianwen's grades improved by leaps and bounds. She couldn't help exclaiming, "This wish really works!"

The neighbors smiled and asked what she had wished for this year.

Ji Xu happened to be passing by. He scoffed, convinced he knew her unchanged wish by heart.

-[She'll definitely wish for me to fall for her again. With how hard she's trying...]

Before he could finish his inner monologue,

he heard Shen Nianwen boast, "I traded Ji Xu never falling for me for this!"

That day, Ji Xu, who had always seemed mature and steady beyond his years, went home and cooked. He burned every dish.

-Why doesn't she like me anymore?

-What am I supposed to do?
