Asking About the Misty Rain

When Chen Yanyu was fifteen, a friend asked if she liked him.

Her peripheral vision caught the expensive watch on Bian Chen's wrist. Then she lowered her head to look at her own white sneakers, which cost less than twenty yuan, and smiled as she denied it.

"We're just ordinary friends."

When Chen Yanyu was twenty-five, she had just broken up with her boyfriend when she received a wedding invitation from Bian Chen during her post-breakup blues.

A friend asked whether she still liked Bian Chen.

She thought it was strange. She had never admitted to liking him.

But it seemed everyone knew that Chen Yanyu liked Bian Chen.

Everyone except her fifteen-year-old self and his twenty-five-year-old self.
