Zhou Jue recently started raising a little puppy online.
All day long, it called him "big brother" this and "big brother" that, making his heart melt.
At twenty-six, Zhou Jue decided to find a temporary "boyfriend" on a certain dating app so his family would stop pressuring him to get married.
The "boyfriend" wouldn't have to do anything. He only had to send Zhou Jue photos and occasionally call him, so Zhou Jue could deal with his family.
For this, Zhou Jue even made a list of things to look for in an online relationship:
First, he had to be good-looking, since Zhou Jue was a sucker for a pretty face.
Second, he had to have a sweet, obedient personality and not blow Zhou Jue's cover.
Third, when it was over, he'd take the money and leave. They'd owe each other nothing, with no dragging things out.
To his surprise, he actually found someone nearby on that dating app.
He looked decent, though the pictures weren't very clear. But he seemed sweet, and his voice was soft. The first thing he did was call Zhou Jue "big brother"...
Uh... Something seemed a little off, but it was all fake anyway, so Zhou Jue didn't care.
After the New Year, once Zhou Jue was done with him, his conscience got the better of him and he prepared to pay him and leave. But the other guy disappeared first.

During his senior year of college, Su Shi was turned down by someone who had been pursuing him. That person posted secretly taken photos of him online and even found himself a boyfriend.
Su Shi immediately cut ties with his pursuer and took back the account, intending to delete it.
Seeing a screen full of voice messages, he tapped one and heard an AI made from his own voice, with things added that he'd never said. Su Shi was hit with a headache.
One day, the other guy sent him a photo. A watch in the picture made him stop just before deleting the account.
He wouldn't delete the account after all. Maybe an online relationship wasn't such a bad idea.
But there was absolutely no way he was going to put on a cutesy voice and call someone "big brother" like the AI!
After all, according to their family seniority, he should be calling the other guy "uncle"...
Bonus scene:
One of Zhou Jue's friends had a nephew who was a total BKing. Zhou Jue went to celebrate when the guy graduated.
By the end of the drinking session, the guy was leaning softly against his shoulder, nothing like his usual cold demeanor.
Zhou Jue: No matter how cool he acts, once he's had a drink, he's still just a little puppy!
Turning his head, Zhou Jue thought the guy looked oddly familiar in the dim light. Wasn't this puppy a little like the one he'd been raising?!

After getting together with Su Shi, Zhou Jue realized the guy wasn't a little puppy at all. He was a huge wolf!!!
Zhou Jue: If I can't call you uncle, surely I can call you big brother, right?
Su Shi: Big brother, let's do it again.
Zhou Jue...
