For Happiness, the Little Fool Worked Himself to the Bone

Fu Xi was an illegitimate son of a wealthy family. One day, he was brought back and became a young master who could get anything he wanted.

The only thing he couldn't stand was his legitimate elder brother's deathly grim face.

Fu Xi played sweet and innocent, schemed, and used every trick in the book to drive his elder brother away.

Then came a bolt from the blue: he wasn't the rich man's biological son.

The news was so shocking that it killed his father.

His adopted elder brother inherited the family business and held all the power, tolerating no dissent.

For the sake of his luxurious life, Fu Xi swallowed his fear, his legs trembling, and shamelessly tried to seduce his adopted elder brother.

He slipped naked into Fu Zhan's bed, eyes brimming with tears. “Brother, I had a nightmare.”

Fu Zhan tossed him out the door, bedding and all. “Get lost.”

Fu Xi: ...

Kicked out of the Fu family, Fu Xi was left to fend for himself, struggling to survive and nearly getting bullied to death.

Heaven took pity on him: he found Fu Zhan, who had lost his memory in a car accident.

When Fu Zhan woke up, he asked, “Who are you?”

Fu Xi dug his fingers into the hem of his pants and smiled sweetly. “Honey, I'm your darling baby!”

To make Fu Zhan fall in love with him, so that he'd take responsibility for him once his memories returned, little weakling Fu Xi worked himself to the bone.

He earned money doing manual labor while caring for his sick husband, making him a hardworking, dutiful little wife.

Fu Xi crossed one leg over the other. “Honey, I'm so tired from work. Rub my feet.”

Without a word, Fu Zhan cradled his foot and massaged it carefully.

Fu Xi rested his foot on Fu Zhan's back. “Honey, have you finished mopping? It's time to cook.”

Fu Zhan, tall and muscular in a little apron, hurried off to the kitchen.

Later...

Fu Zhan pinned his little wife in his arms, restraining him with the strong arms that had once massaged his feet and mopped the floor. He traced every inch of his pale ankle, his gaze dark and deep. “Where would you like me to take care of you tonight?”

Fu Xi: Waaaah, I didn't get a single cent and ended up losing myself, too. What a terrible deal!

From then on, Fu Xi worked hard every night. He woke up sore all over each morning, his limbs weak, and sighed in the bedcovers: “I can't escape a lifetime of hard work!”
