My other main-gong novel, Married to the Villain on a Dating Show, is currently ongoing. Feel free to add it to your library! The blurb is below this one.
Scheming, rugged man x beautiful mermaid
Jiang Yindong had a nightmare in which he died a horrible death.
In his dream, he fell for the impoverished young man Ji Ning, scrimping and saving to give him meat and rice. Then, all of a sudden, the young man came into a fortune and once again became someone the people in their little village could only aspire to.
By chance, Jiang Yindong discovered that the young man he loved was secretly keeping a bewitching beauty in his bathhouse, like a captive fairy.
Furious, he confronted him, only to be trampled to death by the childhood friend who had come to take the young man back to the city.
Jiang Yindong: He's just an honest, poor nobody. How could he go through something like this?
Following the events of his dream, Jiang Yindong found the beauty he had glimpsed only once. He brushed aside his thick, seaweed-like black hair, revealing a captivating face, and a pearl slid from the corner of the mermaid's eye...
Without a moment's hesitation, Jiang Yindong took the mermaid home.
Pearls were worth a lot of money.
Facing the pretty little mermaid, Jiang Yindong kept a cool face and a cold heart. "Cry."
The mermaid reluctantly shed a few pearl tears, which the man tucked inside his robe.
The next morning, Jiang Yindong woke up scowling. His upper body was soaked, and every last pearl had melted into water.
Jiang Yindong remained cold and hard-hearted. "Go catch some fish."
The mermaid nervously fiddled with his fingers. "I, I can't catch fish."
What a loss!
A few of the mermaid's uses:
When the scheming young man came around to beg for things, saying,
"We don't have enough rice or flour at home..."
The little mermaid on the bed swished his tail, stuffed a handful of melon seeds into his mouth, then chewed and sighed remorsefully. "Sigh, it's all my fault for eating so much. Now Brother Dong has no food stored up to lend to his unfortunate friend..."
The young man ran off before he could finish listening.
When Jiang Yindong was restless at night and couldn't sleep,
The little mermaid beside him rubbed his hands together. "Brother Dong, I can help you get a good night's sleep."
In the end, Jiang Yindong held the beauty whose tail had turned into legs. What a bargain!
At first, the mermaid took advantage of the poor, unsophisticated man, promising him the moon.
"I promise I'll produce pearls as soon as I can!"
Later, after the pearls melted away, the mermaid frantically tried to placate the poor man with his tail.
"My scales! My scales are worth a lot!"
Unfortunately, the poor man had gotten smarter. He wasn't interested in a few scales anymore. He wanted the whole tail!
The little mermaid, held by his tail and unable to move, sobbed pitifully.
The tail belonged to the man, so of course he could take control of the legs it turned into, too.
Married to the Villain on a Dating Show
Liang Yan is a married scumbag gong in a novel, and a deeply devoted supporting character who has a secret crush on the protagonist shou.
His wife, Ming Yue, is the gloomy adopted son of the protagonist shou's family. An insignificant figure in show business, he envies and frames the protagonist shou, becoming the great villain who stands in the way of the leads' romance.
On a dating show, Liang Yan tries to seduce the naive and adorable protagonist shou, leaving the sinister villain utterly devastated.
After awakening to the truth, Liang Yan: Hmm... So, exactly how did I do that?
On the dating show, Liang Yan looked past the protagonist shou's plain features and chose the gorgeous villain to pair up with.
After failing a challenge, the guests had to sit on their partners' laps and eat.
Ming Yue stiffened, and Liang Yan let slip, "Baby, you're pretty soft."
Ming Yue's ears turned bright red. Stammering, he said, "Y-You're pretty hard."
In a biscuit-eating challenge, Ming Yue's cool expression didn't help him keep the biscuit in his mouth, and he fell far behind the protagonist shou.
Liang Yan grinned. "Looks like you'll have to do the punishment challenge again."
Ming Yue beat the protagonist shou by a second and planted a kiss on the corner of Liang Yan's mouth. In a stiff voice, he apologized. "I had to do it to win. Sorry."
Liang Yan stared at his moist, rosy lips and smiled. "As long as you didn't use your tongue."
Ming Yue's situation on the dating show, where he'd been trampled on by a scumbag, changed. Liang Yan went all the way and proposed ending their marriage after the show, setting him free.
Unexpectedly, when he went out in the rain, he found a pitiful, soaking-wet kitten.
Liang Yan took him home, considerate and gentlemanly. "Don't worry, I don't live here."
Water droplets slid from Ming Yue's forehead down his collarbone and into his soaked white T-shirt, making him look like a pure, alluring white flower.
"You just don't want to see me, so..."
Liang Yan: "I'm afraid I won't be able to stop myself from doing something to you."
Ming Yue's cheeks flushed as he mumbled, "You don't have to stop yourself."
Liang Yan: "?"
Later...
Well, the original story was pretty good.

Scattered flowers are really nice
I really want to see a raw fish baby
I'm a little confused by the name. Why do they call the second uncle's son their eldest nephew...
But it was obviously his fault that he hid everything from the fish, and he could have avoided this danger.
Beautiful, very sweet, thank you for the limited offer~
