A Supporting Character Doesn't Need to Be Saved

Bai Yang was just like his name: he struggled to grow up, then became a tall, sturdy white poplar, content with his peaceful little life.

He was strong and kind, and possessed all the finest qualities humanity had to offer.

Then a whole bunch of people showed up wanting to save him.

They dragged him into show business, making him wildly famous and wildly successful.

They shoved him into a domineering CEO romance, teaching him how to be a pampered little wife who could be spoiled and willful, with a hefty private fund.

They shoved him into a beloved-by-everyone story, making all his friends and relatives adore him.

They shoved him into a revenge story, helping him beat up scumbags and rise again...

Bai Yang happily watched the big shots bustle around, reaping all the benefits and enjoying top-tier treatment.

Then his man got beaten up?!

His man went bankrupt!

His man was thrown onto a deserted island to feed the wild beasts!

Bai Yang: What?!

Wait, his husband wasn't a scumbag!

He had to save his husband!

Bai Yang immediately raced to the deserted island, overcame every obstacle, and single-handedly rescued his husband. He turned the island into a sweet, happy home, stayed by his husband's side while he recovered, and even went on a honeymoon with him.

The big shots who'd been saving the poor little thing: What?

Were they dreaming?

The big shots from every walk of life belatedly realized that Bai Yang didn't need saving at all.

Bai Yang didn't need a domineering CEO, because he could be one himself. He could casually make a fortune while chatting.

He had an incredible talent for acting and could slip into any role with ease. Famous directors fought to cast him.

Even people with ugly, malicious hearts would end up liking him. He was born to be everyone's darling.

Even his penniless husband loved him more than life itself. The plot where the scumbag betrays him never came to pass!

The big shots were all stunned: So we weren't the main characters after all? QAQ
