As the Villain, I Just Want to Leave the Story

Aoki died.

The good news: he came back to life. The bad news: the world was about to end, and he was going to die again.

The worse news: he was a member of the Decay of the Angel, and his boss was the culprit behind the world's destruction: the Decay of the Angel.

Aoki didn't want to help the Decay of the Angel destroy the world.

As Fyodor's trusted assistant, if he went down, then the Decay of the Angel's plan would fall apart too.

After pondering it over, Aoki came to a conclusion: "If I want to save the world, this villain has to go down. And if I'm going to go down, I have to get myself killed."

So, when a murder took place in Yokohama, Aoki deliberately made a scene in front of the Agency. "Everyone, listen up! I have an announcement: I'm the culprit. Arrest me."

Later, when the real culprit was caught, the Agency members praised him:

"Mr. Aoki, you stepped forward to distract the culprit, didn't you? You're so clever."

Aoki: "..."

Later, he happened upon the Black Organization hunting down a villain. With Gin interrogating Bourbon and Kir, he stepped right up to Gin's gun and said, "I'm the mole. Arrest me."

Because Aoki caused a commotion, Bourbon and Kir were released.

Bourbon: "You stepped forward just now to cover for me, didn't you? Thanks to you, I wasn't exposed. Want to grab a coffee together?"

Aoki: "..."

Aoki realized that the harder he tried to get himself killed, the more he came across as a good guy.

Even though he was a villain, his eyes looked clearer and more righteous by the day, his conviction as firm as if he'd joined the Party.

He only wanted to get this villain off the board. What had he done wrong?

Theme: Be a good person.
