Mr. Phantom Thief, Aren't You Going to Confess?

After M27's teaser got me hooked, I fell right back down the Kaito Kid rabbit hole.

My take on the accomplice duo: Hakuba is an A, Kaito's a fast O.

The four from Ekoda are adorable and sweet together. The Committee for Better Survival Rates will never give up!

Before they became accomplices:

Hakuba Saguru: It's 9:58:49 a.m. Mr. Phantom Thief, if you're this sleepy, try scheduling your next heist notice for the first half of the night.

Kuroba Kaito: I've told you, I'm not Kaitou Kid! Give it a rest, you fake foreigner!

He quietly changed the time on his next notice to the first half of the night.

After they became accomplices:

Hakuba Saguru: There are four hours until the time on your notice. Even if you need to arrive early to prepare, there's no need to rush. Take your time eating, Kai-to-kun.

Kuroba Kaito: Will you die if you don't talk? By the way, the great detective isn't coming today? How boring.

Hakuba Saguru: Can't be helped. I did violate my principles as a detective by coming to help you, the phantom thief, after all.

Kuroba Kaito: It's not like I asked you to help.

Kaito works himself to the bone, so I'll be changing or cutting some plot points. There's an animal-themed organization and a magical world setting. The story mainly follows everyday life in Ekoda and gem heists, with Kaito and the little detective as rival nemeses.

Theme: The world isn't simply black and white. To walk between the two, you need eyes that can tell truth from lies, and good from evil.
