Can a Relay Player with Pheromones That Smell Like Suppressants Attract a Passionate Owl?

Akaashi Keiji considered himself a perfectly ordinary person, except that he could understand Bokuto Kotaro.

Akaashi's perspective:

What does it feel like to set for a player you've admired since middle school?

Akaashi Keiji's answer: Happier than at any other time!

When he sees Bokuto smile, he's happy too. When Bokuto falls into his dejected mode, he feels down as well. But after cheering him up, he feels a real sense of accomplishment. His mood rises and falls with Bokuto's every move.

...He's fallen for him.

Akaashi Keiji has a problem: he's a beta. He can't be affected by pheromones, and he can't comfort Bokuto-senpai when he falls into a slump from pheromone-induced restlessness.

A setter who can't help his ace perform at 120% isn't a good setter.

Until he undergoes a second gender differentiation and becomes an omega.

"Bokuto-senpai! You're coming closer?!!"

Bokuto's perspective:

What does the world look like through the eyes of a goofy owl whose mind is full of nothing but volleyball?

Volleyball, and everything besides volleyball.

Until the owl, a long-eared owl, meets another owl, a brown wood owl.

From then on, the world is divided into volleyball, Akaashi Keiji, and everything else.

Konoha: Come on, he's the only one who can rein in our hyperactive owl!

Bokuto Kotaro has never been sensitive to pheromones. He's just as indifferent to suppressants and pheromone blockers, and every time he goes into heat, he takes time off and rides it out alone.

Until the bright-eyed junior who had always watched him so intently on their team differentiates as an omega. For the first time, he catches the scent of pheromones.

What do you mean, suppressants? They smell amazing!

I want to hug him and nuzzle him so badly!

Akaashi, promise you'll never leave me, okay?

I want Akaashi to set for me forever!

Bokuto-senpai, I'm pretty sure I'll die of exhaustion.

Then 200 sets a day!

Fine, but no extra practice on a whim.

Akaashi is the best!
