After Failing to Sleep with the Immortal Venerable, I've Settled Down

Yu Nanzhen is an ambitious cultivator of the Hehuan Sect. She wants to spend one night with the strongest person under heaven.

The current strongest is the Zhaoye Immortal Venerable of Kunling, a man of noble character and unmatched grace, peerless in the world.

The Zhaoye Immortal Venerable keeps her at arm's length, sometimes distant and occasionally flirtatious.

He's like a carrot dangling right in front of her, so Yu Nanzhen tries even harder! She pouts and acts cute, throws herself into his arms, cooks for him, and takes advantage of sword lessons to touch and brush against him...

Then, while they are exploring a secret realm, Yu Nanzhen encounters a deadly formation, and the Immortal Venerable swiftly steps in front of her.

Watching him bleed, Yu Nanzhen can't stop her heart from racing. She feels both fear and attraction.

What a disgrace!

She's the Holy Maiden of the mighty Hehuan Sect, yet her heart fell before her body!

And still, the Immortal Venerable keeps her at arm's length, as if he saved her only out of a sense of duty.

Worried that unrequited love will give rise to a heart demon and hinder her cultivation, Yu Nanzhen turns around and slips away.

Good news: After leaving, Yu Nanzhen finds herself the second-ranked Venerable under heaven.

Even better news: The second-ranked one is going to challenge the Zhaoye Immortal Venerable for the title of strongest under heaven.

That day, Yu Nanzhen sits in the spectators' stands, gazing across at the Zhaoye Immortal Venerable.

He seems to have forgotten her. Their eyes meet for an instant, then part, as if she were a stranger he had never seen before.

On the Ancient Battlefield Arena, the Zhaoye Immortal Venerable's sword traces a red ring around his challenger's neck.

Everyone praises the Venerable for showing restraint and not killing his opponent, calling him a noble and magnanimous immortal descended from the heavens!

That night, the immortal sneaks into Yu Nanzhen's residence and grips her shoulders tightly, his eyes bloodshot, like a demon from the abyss.

The Immortal Venerable says, "I'm still the strongest under heaven."

Yu Nanzhen: ...?

The Immortal Venerable: "Please don't leave me, okay?"

Theme: Love is never easy. Cherish it.
