The Assassin Becomes a Superstar in the Entertainment Industry

Zhu Yao was once an ancient world's top assassin. She opened her eyes and found herself transmigrated a thousand years into the future, as a celebrity in the entertainment industry who was both famous and infamous.

Her unscrupulous agency exploiting her? Zhu Yao turns into a Fruit Ninja, whoosh, chopping it to pieces in midair.

Zhu Yao: "I don't mean anything by that, okay?"

Her manager: ...

Why does it feel so chilly back there?

Zhu Yao lands a big-budget costume drama and plays a bodyguard just like herself.

"Her acting is so wooden, she can't even handle an ancient romance drama."

"She's so precious, she even needs a stunt double for the fight scenes!"

Then the show comes out, and the fight scenes are filmed in a single continuous take.

No slow motion, just blades flashing as life-or-death battles rage.

The ring of clashing metal, the muffled thuds of every blow landing, even the look in her eyes carries the killing intent of a sword drawn from its sheath!

The audience can't stop raving: "I haven't seen fight scenes this thrilling in twenty years!"

"Watching her fight feels so good. Sis, please slap me!"

On a slow-living variety show, everyone else is chased around by geese, screaming, while Zhu Yao kills a pig for the feast with one swift stroke.

On a travel show, a pickpocket targets her companion on a street in France. The production crew is just about to comfort them when Zhu Yao has already pinned the thief down. The pickpocket sobs, "I'm calling the police!"

And as for manufactured pairings to ride the wave of popularity?

The singer, award-winning actor, and director: ... Sorry, we're the ones competing to win her favor.
