[An inspiration break, QAQ. Lots of original worldbuilding. 5v5 esports in an alternate setting]
After the S9 season, a newly arrived owner in the esports scene spent a fortune building a fantastical team with four legendary players:
The top laner is a canyon tyrant, able to dominate a lane solo and dive into a 1v5 team fight without breaking a sweat.
The jungler is the master of tempo, a nightmare for squishy champions and the undisputed king of dragon control.
The support is the eye of God, spoon-feeding the team's main carry and making the whole squad's game feel effortless.
The ADC is a damage machine, dealing 50% of the team's damage in a single match and seizing every opportunity to the fullest.
Any one of these four would be the undisputed core of a team. And yet, they had come together to help the owner's rumored relative climb the ranks:
A mid laner with an account KDA as low as 5.0, a delicate and frail little thing who insisted on playing esports, and the team's undisputed deadweight!
The hashtag #EsportsDeadweightRichKid shot to the top of the trending list.
The person in question lazily posted a clarification on Weibo:
1. I'm not related to the owner.
2. Don't make things up. Being deadweight isn't easy, either.
The comments were full of mockery.
Then the S10 season arrived. During a crucial moment in a team fight, the deadweight mid laner was thrown into confusion by the enemy team, unable to tell friend from foe, and proceeded to put on a 1v9 show, slaughtering everyone on the field.
The moment they won the match, viewers across the internet were left red-faced.
#Nobody told us the young master had to play this badly to climb the ranks! Nobody!
#Right, right, you're not related to the owner, but you're still a young master
#Young master, let this old servant pour you some tea
#If you don't want to be a young master, you can inherit the Demon King's throne
*
Setup:
1. A lazy Demon King mid laner who is a sucker for good looks, the uke x a ruthless, taciturn jungler who only gives blue buff to his sweetheart, the seme.
2. The romance that isn't mentioned in the blurb is there, and it makes sense.
There's a kind of love called "Mage, come get blue buff."
3. This is an inspiration break, and I'm very sorry for jumping the queue. This one shouldn't be too long.
