[Blurb]

If you meet a white-haired ninja skilled with a blade in the Land of Fire, and he has a strange trio with him, he will introduce himself like this:

"My name is Senju Sakumo, though you can also call me Hatake Sakumo." The white-haired young man introduced himself. "This is my eldest son, Kakashi, my two-and-a-halfth son, Obito, and my daughter, Rin."

Just after becoming a ninja, Sakumo suddenly found himself transported back to the Warring States period, before Konoha was founded. He had no parents to begin with, so gaining two older brothers was a good thing.

It was just that when a white-haired child who looked exactly like him appeared out of nowhere and called him Dad, Sakumo was at a complete loss.

He was just a young man who hadn't even started a family yet. Where had this big kid come from? And look at that Sharingan of yours. Are you really not an Uchiha?

But after being worn down by the child's persistence, Sakumo reluctantly admitted that this boy, who looked exactly like him, was his son.

But you, a genuine Sharingan-wielding Uchiha, why are you shamelessly calling him Dad too?

Looking at the two Sharingan users standing together, Sakumo fell silent. As a Senju, was there something wrong with raising an Uchiha as his son?

That wasn't all. After he picked up a little girl who was the Three-Tails' jinchuriki, young Sakumo suddenly found himself with a complete set of children.

But you three: two of you have a pair of Mangekyo Sharingan, and one is a jinchuriki. Isn't this a bit too much of a cheat?

Sakumo, who thought of himself as an utterly ordinary family man, fell into deep thought.

After the Fourth Great Ninja War, Kakashi met the Sage of Six Paths and, after dying, was given a chance to make a wish. Although he didn't make one, he still returned to the past he most wanted to change deep in his subconscious.

He had become a child again, and met his father, who had also grown young. Just as he thought this would be a heartwarming story about the two of them spending time together, two more shrunken members of Minato's team suddenly appeared. Kakashi fell silent.

"Wait... he's my dad, so it's fine for me to call him that. Why are you two calling him Dad too?!"

Kakashi cried out, feeling unusually conflicted. He had been reborn, but so had his teammates from the same generation, and now they were fighting him for his dad.

"Haha, no problem. We can all take the Senju name!"

"It's Hatake, Hatake," Kakashi corrected him.

Notes:

v. Naruto fanfiction only

v. No romantic pairings. The story focuses on Sakumo and Kakashi, with familial and friendship themes for everyone

v. A story about Sakumo and the three members of Minato's team

v. The timeline begins in the early Warring States period and ends in the late Fourth Great Ninja War

v. Lots of canon divergence, for example, Rin can freely control tailed beasts

[Upcoming Novel] The Armed Detective's Zoo

[Blurb]:

The Zenin family finally had a child who inherited the Ten Shadows Technique, but before they could even begin training him, they realized that something seemed very wrong with the boy.

No matter how they trained him, he remained a complete weakling at hand-to-hand combat. He had talent, but was utterly hopeless.

Under the Six Eyes' scrutiny, the boy, forced to undergo harsh training, was diagnosed as a "Heavenly Restriction."

He traded physical strength for unparalleled "intelligence," the kind of intelligence that could see through every truth at a glance.

"I don't want to be a jujutsu sorcerer. I want to be the world's greatest detective!" the black-haired boy declared childishly. Beside him was a summoned Divine Dog, white as jade and shaped like a wolf.

The Six Eyes user watched the holder of the Ten Shadows Technique, who should have been his equal, and fell into deep thought after realizing that the boy truly just wanted to slack off and waste his talents on being a detective.

Watching him tame all kinds of shikigami with ease, the others fell into deep thought too. But was there something wrong with these shikigami?

There was only one white Divine Dog, shaped like a wolf.

Nue loved wrapping himself in bandages and even tried to drown himself.

There were two giant snakes, a pair who were clearly close.

And the Round Deer had an unusual version of the Reverse Cursed Technique.

That would have been enough, but why could the standard Ten Shadows Technique summon a white tiger with razor-sharp claws?

Besides those, there were the Rabbit Escape shikigami, fond of ambushes; a toad who liked wearing glasses; and a mighty elephant who loved raising animals...

Looking at the boy's strange assortment of shikigami, everyone couldn't help exclaiming, "This is practically a zoo!"

"My name isn't Zenin. It's Edogawa, Edogawa Ranpo," said Edogawa Ranpo, the greatest detective, whom everyone acknowledged as such.

Rather than exorcising curses, the genius boy preferred solving cases and becoming the world's greatest detective.

Watching the Six Eyes user and the boy "joining forces" and eating far too many sweets together, their classmates could only sigh.
