My Sister Is Dim but Crazy

Xue Ruoyi bought a cream ice cream and took a couple of bites before holding it up to Chen Xingzi's lips. "Big sis, have some."

Chen Xingzi leaned back a little. "No thanks."

The girl in front of her was an adult now, but why did her expression, movements, and tone still seem just like when she was ten?

Xue Ruoyi persisted, holding out the ice cream again. "Just one bite."

Chen Xingzi looked at the bite marks the girl had left in the creamy ice cream and said helplessly, "I'll just watch you eat."

Xue Ruoyi had been looking stubbornly aggrieved, but somehow that answer seemed to satisfy her. Staring into Chen Xingzi's eyes, she took another bite of the ice cream. "Okay. You have to watch me."

"Mm." Chen Xingzi nodded gently. She knew what Xue Ruoyi was thinking, but couldn't be bothered to care anymore. It didn't matter, so she propped her cheek on one hand and watched her nibble at the ice cream like a cat.

Her gaze went from the girl's eyelashes to her nose, then to her pale pink lips, smeared with cream... She was still just as beautiful.

The last time they had seen each other was two years ago.

Back then, Xue Ruoyi's father had gone to prison and her mother had died of illness. Chen Xingzi, her "big sister," had gotten into university and left the Xu family behind, where everything had fallen into ruin.

After leaving, she had hesitated several times, but never changed her phone number.

So one day, she received a video call from Xue Ruoyi.

The sixteen-year-old girl was beautiful and cool, and did not seem too heartbroken. Auntie Zhang, the housekeeper, was looking after her.

Looking at Chen Xingzi on the other end of the call, she seemed completely at ease. She stared steadily at the screen and said, "Big sis, wait for me. Once I get into university, I'll come find you in your city."

Chen Xingzi had pretended to stay calm at the time, but as soon as the video call ended, she changed her phone number and social media accounts.

Yet letters kept arriving in her inbox, and she never dared open them.
