The Little Fat Finch Mistook Someone for Its White Moonlight

Adorable little bird × bewitching demon woman

Yingying was a beautiful long-tailed tit.

One year, while building a nest alone in a tree, a poisonous bug bit her and blinded her. A couple of flaps later, she tumbled to the ground.

Then, by accident, a pebble cut her wing.

At night, the hoots of the tawny owls in the forest sounded terrifying. Yingying, unable to see or fly, was so scared that her feathers stood on end.

Just then, a pair of warm hands scooped her up and put her back in her nest.

That person healed her wing and her eyes, then bathed her in a jade bowl brimming with spiritual energy. Thanks to her, Yingying was eventually able to take human form.

But as soon as Yingying could see, that person disappeared.

Yingying searched and searched, and finally found her by following the faint scent of cedar: Wen Renxue, the Fairy of Lingwei Mountain Sect.

For the next few years, Yingying stayed by Wen Renxue's side day and night, bringing her immortal herbs and treasures, warming her bed, repaying her kindness and expressing her love.

Until Wen Renxue became engaged to an immortal lord from another sect. When he asked about Yingying, she said, "She's just my spirit pet. If you mind, I'll send her away."

On the day Wen Renxue tried on her wedding dress, Yingying got drunk in the courtyard and stumbled down to the bottom of the Boundless Valley, where the demons were imprisoned. The beautiful, wicked demon woman Lu Zhaoyin smiled at her.

"The little sparrow has turned into a person."

Only then did Yingying realize she'd mistaken her savior all along.

*

Everyone told Yingying that Lu Zhaoyin was terribly wicked. Even Wen Renxue said that the reason Lu Zhaoyin had smelled of blood in the mountains that year was that she'd just killed many people down the mountain.

Yingying: She even saved a little bird. How could she have killed anyone!

Lu Zhaoyin: I did kill them.

Yingying paused: Then they must have been evil people!

Lu Zhaoyin smiled: That's right.

Wen Renxue: ...

*

Even much later, Yingying still regretted mistaking her savior back then.

It meant she had to spend every day trying her hardest to coax her "terribly wicked" real savior.

"Did you share a bed with her?"

"No, no!"

"Lying deserves punishment."

"What kind of punishment?"

"Mmm...!"

"Didn't you say you'd lay eggs for her?"

"That was a rumor! Just a rumor!"

"I don't care. You still need to be punished."

"..." Yingying lay flat. Go ahead.
